Mahabharat Recap

This is part of my ongoing series on the Mahabharat, an epic poem of ancient India. For links to all previous Mahabharat posts go here. Or you can simply click on the Mahabharat page link above.

I'm posting this one day early because I'm flying to London today and won't get a chance to access the internet for a few days. This also means that I won't be able to check up on your blogs so forgive me for not being up to date. When I do manage to get to a computer I'll be in a cyber cafe and strapped for time so I might not be able to comment even though I'll do my best to read up.

I'll be out of the USA for the three months but will continue to blog here, keeping as close to my normal schedule of Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays as possible. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, here's your Mahabharat post for this weekend:

This is a list of all my Mahabharat posts so far, in the order I posted them. That's important because you learn a little bit more with each story and the later posts are all linked in so it's better to have read the earlier ones to get the most out of the experience.

For the stories that have more than one part you can click on the link at the bottom of the post to continue reading the story.

Have a safe trip. I hope the volcanic ash coalition doesn't get in the way. :-)

And many thanks for posting the entire series. This is the equivalent of watching all the DVD series of 'Smack the Pony' or 'The Thick of It' back to back to back.

Greetings from London.

Cuban,

I love Smack the Pony!

I never thought of this list as a back to back DVD series but you're right. It's a marathon, that's for sure. Enjoy!

Hey all, I'm at the airport right now, waiting to get on my flight. I'm so exhausted! I didn't any sleep last night because I was packing and getting everything else ready. Can't wait to just get on the plane and fall asleep.

Jai, I've got some cool news. I am taking Ancient India in college and the teacher let me pick your book, "Follow the Cowherd Boy" as the book for my book review. I am hoping she will add it to her suggested reading list!
