Happy?

I am! Because Hema from Wading Through Words granted me the Happiness 101 award!

Here it is:

Doesn't it make you happy just to look at it?

The rules are to list ten things that make me happy and pass the award to five other bloggers.

So I have to list ten things...ten things...only ten things. Hmmm... These are in no particular order:

1. Traveling.
2. Taking bubble baths with lots of vanilla scented bubbles, a box of chocolates, and a good book.
3. Writing my books. And reading my books. Yes, really.
4. Listening to Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo.
5. Being with my friends.
6. Wearing a skirt and sparkly things.
7. Rolling around in green grass while wearing flowers in my hair.
8. Reading Shakespeare and watching his plays.
9. Listening to Rameshbhai Oza speak. He makes my soul sing.
10. Thinking of my favourite person in this whole wide world. And no, I'm not going to tell you who that is.

I pass this award on to:

Paige at Paradise Valley 2...Hell's Mountain
The Uneasy Writer at The Uneasy Writer
80s Queen at Finding the Write Moment
Looney at The Musings of a Looneywriter
Sammy at Sammy Suzuhara
Jaleh at Ex Libris Draconis

These are six bloggers (because I can't count) that have made me happy for a long time, ever since we became friends on Writers Digest Forum. It's been many years on that forum for me. Over four years actually, now that I think about it. That's a long time to be internet friends with someone, let alone a whole group of people like these. Thanks for the good times, my dear friends.

I also recieved some awards these past few weeks with no strings attached!

A second Sugar Doll award from Paige at Paradise Valley 2...Hell's Mountain. See it in my sidebar! >>>> and click to see my post about being a Sugar Doll.

Paige also included me in her Super Peeps Club! Which peep do you thing I am? Blue, green or lellow?

L. Diane Wood at Spunk on a Stick's Tips gave me the Sunshine Award! I'm always up for more sunshine and flowers.

Thanks, guys, you're the best! I wouldn't have been able to keep on blogging with the same energy if it hadn't been for your friendship and encouragement. You rock!

EXTRA!! EXTRA!!
Jaleh at Ex Libris Draconis gave me another You Are My Sunshine Award. See it in my sidebar>>>>>> and click to see my post on being sunshine. Thanks, Jaleh!

Congrats, Jai!! Have you ever been to our local Shakespeare in the Park? With a picnic dinner, bottle of wine, and someone to share it with...definitely rates high on my happiness meter too! :)

Way to go on those awards! I enjoyed your happy list. I think everyone should roll around in the grass with flowers in their hair at least once. Thanks for a great post. It made me happy, too. :)

Hema, now is an especially good time to roll around in the grass. All the wildflowers are in bloom and it's gorgeous.

Palindrome,

I try to take a bubble bath at least once a month. I fill the tub, get my chocolates and book, light a candle and lock the bathroom door. I'm unreachable for a good hour.

Lua, we understand each other! I mean, what's the point in writing if you don't enjoy your own work? I wallow in it.

Congrats! And this thing made me smile:

'Listening to Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo.'

I've got the same song by Paco de Lucia on my mp3 player. Glorious, isn't it?

Greetings from London.

Ocean Girl said...

Congratulations and reading your list makes me feel happy too!

Jai Joshi said...

Cuban, I LOVE Paco de Lucia's interpretation of it. It's so fluid and romantic. Sometimes I've listened to him play Concierto de Aranjuez all day.

Love your list but you know that all I'm thinking about is #10!
How dare you be so mysterious!!!!

Btw, you're the best thing to happen to WD! You are always the calm, smart, reasoning voice in every heated & non-heated post.

Jai Joshi said...

Susan, thanks!

The Uneasy Writer (Sheri),

Wow, thank you! The WD forum can get pretty rollicking sometimes and I try to keep a clear head through it all. Thanks for noticing! I always look for your comments because I like to see your slant on things.

Oh yes, and about number 10 - of course I'm going to be mysterious! You can't expect me to give all my secrets away. Things are embarrassing enough as it is. I'll give you a clue though: It isn't Cakeman.
