I have been so fortunate as to be granted the same award twice! My friends, Jen at unedited and Pan at A Vagabond's Tale both saw fit to grant me the Blogger Buddy Award. The award on the left is Jen's and the one below on the right is Pan's. Thanks, guys. You're too cool. I love being your buddies! I also like the idea of no specific rules from these awards. So I can do what I want with them! Haha!As you know, my dear blog readers, I'm blessed to have lots of friends. So I decided to pass this award on to five other bloggers per Blogger Buddy award I received. So that would be ten people. Phew! Glad I managed that simple math. Despite the fact that I'm Indian I have absolutely no appreciation for the joys of numbers. Unless it's to count how many cakes there are in the bakery.
So, without further ado, here are the recipients for my award from Jen:Dorraine at Free Ice Cream. Always a good idea to make friends with the lady who's giving out free ice cream. You'd have to be crazy not to.
Elizabeth from Elizabeth's Ramblings, a fellow Brit and Texan, she's been my blogger buddy from the beginning.
Nicole from One Significant Moment at a Time. Nicole's only recently become a buddy of mine but already I feel that popping over to her blog is like nipping round a friend's house for a chat and a cuppa.
Carolina from Carol's Prints. Another blogger I've only recently become a follower of, I feel a particular kinship to her.
Charity from My Writing Journey. Another new friend, Charity's just recently reached 100 followers which is too cool. Well done, Charity!
These are my five award recipients from the award I got from Pan:
Jen from unedited. How could I leave her out? We instantly struck it up the moment she appeared on my blog. Her boundless enthusiasm makes me smile every time I visit her blog.
Vaishnavi from Amo Ergo Sum. I first met her when she told me how she avoided my Mahabharat posts. But then she couldn't resist and would read them anyway. I was overwhelmed. She's truly a blogger buddy!
Linda at leftbrainwrite. A fabulous poet and prose writer, I'm always touched in some way when I visit her blog. And I'm always happy to see her at mine.
Roxy at a woman's write. When she and I became followers of each other a few weeks ago, I was impressed by her large blog following. She's since impressed me with her writing. Go Roxy!
Susan at Susan Cross Writes. One of my loyal buddies from the very beginning, Susan's blog is a place I go never knowing what I'm going to get, whether it's jazz music anecdotes, great flash fiction, or chat about anything else. She keeps me on my toes.
So, that sums up my Blogger Buddy awards. Thanks for giving and congratulations on receiving!
*MASSIVE EDIT*
Thursday April 22nd is Earth Day and I'm taking the step to make my blog carbon neutral.
You can do the same by clicking on the button above that will take you to a website that explains the programme. You can also click on the button at the top of my side bar. Simply write a blog on this programme and include the button, then send the link to CO2-neutral@kaufda.de. In return the Arbor Day Foundation will plant a tree for you.
Let's spread awareness and give back to this planet that has given us so much. Happy Earth Day to all!
Haha! Tree planted! This was their email to me just now:
Hi Jai,
thank you so much for participating in our initiative and making your blog carbon neutral! Your tree will be planted this month by the Arbor Day Foundation. The scheduled start plant date was Monday, April 19 and the trees will be planted by a contracted crew. The roads are being plowed, all contracts solidified, and twelve shipments of 150,000 seedling each are being assembled. We thank you for the support!
There are still some trees looking for a sponsor. So if you know some people who have a blog or website, pass it on and we'll make their blogs carbon neutral too!

Counting the cakes in the bakery, LOL! Yeah, we believe you. That's not the only reason you went into a certain bakery! Yeah, funny how you thought of counting cakes for your comparison. Were you reminiscing?

Jai, belated but sincere congrats on the Blog Buddy Award -- I consider you among the warmest, kindest, and most generous of cyber writers. I love traipsing over here to read your musings, especially your Hindi and Indian stories. Susan says it best: you are so special.
And thank you for the nomination! I am honored. I've been slaughtered by all stuff life lately, but am finally coming up for air and anxious to explore the other blogs. Peace, Linda
Linda, stop, you're making me blush! You guys are just too nice to me.
I know you've been somewhat overwhelmed lately. Just remember to take care of yourself because that's the most important thing. All this other stuff can wait until you're ready. And if you're already ready then WOO-HOO! Glad to have you back!
Jai
