Creative Moi?

L. Diane Wood from over at Spunk on a Stick's Tips has honoured me with another award! Thank you, Diane, not just for this award but for your continued support ever since we first met on the blogosphere.

Here is my lovely new award:

Now that I'm the proud holder of "Creative Writer" I have to follow the rules:

1: Thank the person who gave you the award and link to them.
2: Add the award to your blog
3: Tell six outrageous lies about yourself and one truth.
4: Nominate six creative liars... (I mean writers!) and post links to them.
5: Let your nominees know that they have been nominated.

The irony, of course, is that I just got done recovering from the coolness of my Honest Scrap award. An award on how HONEST I am. So this one is a challenge. It's clear Diane is trying to make me expand my horizons as a writer. So, see if you can spot the one truth in the midst of all these outrageous lies:

1. I adore romantic comedy films.
2. I think rap is the best form of music in the world.
3. I want to go on a walking trip all over England.
4. I watch tv all the time.

I want to interrupt this list for a moment to point out that I really am finding this hard. I keep thinking up true things and typing them before I realise I'm supposed to be telling lies. Urgh. Ok, try again...

5. I think Bill O'Reilly is attractive.
6. I've painted my bedroom walls neon yellow.
7. Cake makes me gag.

Ok, number 7 was a blatant lie and we all know it. I'm sorry, ok! This is hard.

So what do you think is the true one, huh? It'll be interesting to see which one you pick.

Here are my award nominees:

Linda at leftbrainwrite
Susan at Susan Cross Writes
Kat at Will Write for Food
Jenn at Jenn Lidster
Sammy at Sammy Suzuhara
Looneywriter at The Musings of a Looneywriter

These guys are definitely creative, I can say that for sure. Check them out.

Congrats!

Because it sounds so utterly "Jai-like" I'm going to say that you really did paint your bedroom neon yellow. Hehe. Sorry if I'm wrong, but I could see you doing that. ;)

Ha ha!

*game show buzzer* That's the wrong answer answer.

I just did my lies the other day and I'm with you it was very hard!!!! Oh and I don't like cake... it doesn't make me gag, but it's pretty close!!!

Umm romantic comedies?

I think I'll see what a few other people say before I say whether or not Jen and Diane's guess is correct.

No.5 is definitely a lie! It can't be true!

And yeah, you knew you weren't getting away with the cake thing:)

Congratulations on the award Jai, it it well deserved.

Jai, I think No. 3 "I want to go on a walking trip all over England." is the truth. I feel like I am cheating, because I meet you on a regular basis and so have a better guage of your likes (you walk everywhere, if possible) and dislikes (never heard you talk rapturously about rap).

With all that said, I'll have to wait and see if I'm even remotely right :-). Congratulations on the award!

Elizabeth and Hema, I'll keep my mouth shut for a little while longer, I think.

I would have to go with the walking trip without even knowing you. The other things sound ridiculously trite.

Hey Jai! Congrats on your award and thanks for nominating me. This is the first time I've ever been nominated for an award so I'm not exactly sure what to do next... help?

Jai Joshi said...

Kat, it's easy. You just follow the rules that I list in this post. Also, copy and paste the picture of the award to your post so you can show it off properly.

You deserve this award, Kat. You've been working hard on your writing and I wanted to show you that there are people who notice hard work.

I believe you. When shall we set off? (putting his trekking boots on :-D)

Greetings from London.

Very clever, Cuban, trying to draw me out so I let something slip. However, I'm too good at evasion to fall for that. *wink*

Congratulations Jai! My guess is number 4 - I just can't picture you watching TV much at all. So, do I win the prize? :)

Deanna, I revealed the truth in my latest post "Damage Report".

Ok, so I just discovered your comment that you nominated me for an award.

And I also can't figure out how to add it to my blog - because I'm computer dumb!! (and really tired, which isn't a good combination)

A little help anyone?

I also owe an apology to Brad. He nominated me for an Honest Scrap award awhile back and I didn't know the rules about awards then.

I'll make it up to him, if someone can tell me how!!! :-)

Looney, it's ok. The rules are really simple. You thank whoever nominated you and put a link to their blog in your post. You also put the picture of the award up on your site by copying it from the blog that awarded you and pasting it into your post. Or you can save the picture to your computer and then click on add a picture and browse. Once the pictures up you then follow whatever the rules are for that particular award, which is usually nominating others and putting the links to their blog up.

That's it!
