Isn't it lovely?Thank you all so much for following me here at my Tulsi Tree! It's so sweet to be recognised by my fellow writers and bloggers in this way and especially by Diane who's an accomplished and successful writer and speaker.
Now I'm told I have to reveal ten things about myself and then pass the award on to others.
So here goes. Prepare to be shocked by my revelations...
1. I've harboured an as yet unfufilled dream of visiting New Zealand since the year 2000.
2. I'm 5 foot 4 inches and that's considered tall by the women in my family.
3. When I was little (I mean littler than I am now) I was picked on at school for being Indian.
4. I hate eating noises. Seriously, it's a make or break issue for me.
5. I studied theatre but try not to be a drama queen. At least, I try not to be a drama queen when it's inappropriate.
6. I'm a snob. Really. I think anyone who doesn't read is a pleb. Plebs are unbearable.
7. I used to be addicted to chocolate (like a serious addiction - I'd go into withdrawal and mood swings if I didn't get my daily dose) but moving to America cured me of that. American chocolate is so bad I refuse to lower my standards and eat it. Told you I'm a snob.
8. I don't like running but I'll walk for miles and miles.
9. My life is so boring I can't think of anything else to reveal. People would have difficulty blackmailing me.
10. Oh yes! Here's something to blackmail me about: I'm turned on by cake. Lots of lots of cake. And aprons (but only if it's a man wearing the apron while he bakes me cake).
And I'm passing this award on to...
Elizabeth at Ramblings on Life
Deanna at Deanna's Blog
Josie at High Heels and Slippers
Hema at Wading through Words
Carol at The Writing Place
Nevine at Dreams, Deliriums and Other Mind Talk
Jaleh at Ex Libris Draconis
Emily at Stepping into Fantasy
Do check out these fabulous bloggers. Josie and Hema in particular are special because they've only just started blogging recently but have made such an impression on me that I'm recognising them with this award.
Thanks again for your support!

Those revelations are funny! Food smacking drives me nuts, too. So does talking with your mouth full.
I'm 5'3" and I'm considered short by... well, by just about everyone I know!
Congratulations Jai, and thank you for the award! It may take me a few days to come up with my own revelations and pass it on - I actually received a "bald-faced liar, a.k.a. creative writer" award for my fiction blog yesterday and have to come up with 5 outrageous truths and 1 bald-faced lie about myself, and of course pass that one on as well. I feel so blessed to be receiving these awards.
Your revelation about the American chocolate cracked me up! You're so right, when you've had "the real thing", of whatever it is, it's impossible to go back to the fake stuff. I absolutely hated coffee until I lived in Miami for a few short months - then of course I fell in love with it, and was disappointed when I came back home to VA and couldn't find coffee worth a diddle. :)
Congratulations again!
Your list made me laugh. You are a doll. :D I'm a bit of a chocolate snob, too, but I will eat the lesser stuff when I need some. But then, I grew up on American chocolate and have simply raised my standards.
Now I have two awards (got the Honest Scrap award from Emily yesterday) to have my hubby help me post on my page.
Diane,
what really drives me crazy is people who sit chewing gum or something else next to me. Especially while I'm writing. Having spent hours and hours in cyber cafes for the last four months I've have plenty of experience with this. It's horrible.
Jai
Deanna,
You're blog is thriving and you deserve all the recognition you're getting. Congratulations on that bald faced liar award! How cool.
American chocolate makes me laugh too.
Jai
Jaleh, don't do it! Don't resort to American chocolate. I tried that once and regretted it forever.
Congratulations on your Honest Scrap Award! You deserve it.
Jai
Jai,
Awww... thanks for passing on the "Sugar Doll" award - I couldn't be farther from being one, LOL!! Now, if I were forced to reveal ten about myself, I'd have to go into hiding for a few days, because people will laugh at my face for being so boring and staid! Loved your list, though :).
Congrats, Jai, you deserve the award. I have harbored dreams of New Zealand too.
I'm not so turned on by a man with an apron but, a man with plastic bubble wrap? Now you're talkin'.
Congratulations Jai! You go girl! You just didn't know it, but you've been a Sugar Doll for a long time:)
And I'm so honored that you have chosen to pass an award to me. Thank you so much. This is the second award you have given me. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the humane award onto my sideline. Could you believe that??
On your list of ten things I have to agree with you about the chocolate here. It's just not the same. Thank God. If it were I'd be in a lot of trouble.
We all know about the "apron wearing cake baking man" :-)
#90, should have noted this in the program.
Congratulations, I agree you are a Sugar Doll!
Congrats to you, Sugar Doll! Never thought I would be writing those words either. :-)
Oh, dear, we're so alike. Only that I disguise my snobbery the best I can, but yes, when it comes out, it catches people unaware. And as for eating noises. Talk to my children and they'll tell you the consequences of eating their food with mouth partly open.
Great post. I enjoyed it a lot.
Greetings from London.
Hema, I just know you've got some juicy secrets to reveal to us all, you minx.
Jai
Ronda, yes I remember all about your bubble wrap fetish. That would be interesting to watch I think.
Wanna go to New Zealand with me? When I get some money together, I mean?
Jai
Elizabeth, it's true that it's a good think American chocolate is so bad. Otherwise I'd be triple the size I am now.
You deserve the award, you sugar doll, you. Use it wisely.
Jai
Paige, thank you. It must be all those sweets I've eaten in India that turned me up so sweet.
Jai
Cuban, you're so funny. I don't disguise my snobbery. I wear it proudly on my sleeve. Otherwise, I'd never get rid of the plebs.
Jai
A big Congrats, Jai! Hmmm, yes a man in an apron, baking cake. I can see why that was on the list. Hey, I've always wanted wished to go to New Zealand. Let me know when you're going!
Dorraine,
will do. We can go live it up in the gorgeous natural beauty of New Zealand. I love to hear your descriptions of nature there.
Jai
