Last week this blog was fortunate enough to recieve not one but two Humane Blogger Awards!
Woo hoo! The awards were granted by Lydia and Joe at The Sharp Angle blog and by Emily at her Stepping into Fantasy blog. The Sharp Angle is a fascinating place that contains all things sci-fiction and fantasy. Emily's blog is focused on pure fantasy and she's always surprising me by telling me things I don't know about the genre.

So I'm taking the time today to give back and grant this award to some people. Here's my list:
Susan Cross at her blog Susan Cross Writes. She gives me an insight into a part of American culture that is still much of a mystery to me, that of jazz. She also writes fabulous flash fiction.
Deanna at her inspiringly titled blog Deanna's Blog. Genius, isn't she? She always makes me think, this lady.
Elizabeth at her blog Ramblings on Life. Apart from being a fellow Brit and Texan (I know, it's a crazy mix) she writes lovely poetry.
Jen at her blog Intimate Family. Only this girl can write a post about throwing away one's bra and sound righteous about it. I'm still quaking in my bra, uh, um, I mean boots.
Dorothy at her blog djpipershobbies recycled. Only Dorothy can combine grandkids, writing and astronomy with this kind of flair.

Thank you so much, Jai! I love reading your blog (as you very well know) and my own blog seems very amateur in comparison. I'd like to paste my Award on my blog. Can you tell me how to do it, please? Also how I go about passing on the award to other people that I admire?
Conratulations to you Jai,...you deserve every award! I am humbled in receiving one from you! I must apologize to everyone for being absent, not reading your blogs, but I currently in temp housing in Philly, PA as my family & I have transfered here from New Mexico. I will have to give some thought as to who to pass the award on to. There are so many that deserve it, just choosing a few will be hard.

Dorothy, right click on the picture and then select Save Picture As to save it to your computer. Then when you post your blog, click on Add a picture and then browse to select the picture from your computer. That will put the picture in your next post. But if you want to post the picture in your sidebar, go to your layout page and click on Add a Gadget. Scroll down until you get to the Add a Picture option and click on that. Then browse to select the picture from your computer. That will post the picture in your sidebar.
I hope that helps!
To select people you want to recieve the award, pick anyone whose blog you follow and admire and post to let everyone know who won. Then let them know about their award.
